Preschool Lead Teacher (Henry Location)

Description

Head Start for Kent County is hiring Preschool Lead Teachers to ensure a safe environment for children ages 3-5 in accordance with performance standards by meeting the physical, social, intellectual, emotional and cultural needs of each enrolled child in partnership with parents.

Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor degree with stated major in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (or) a valid MI teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA) endorsement (or) Early Childhood General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement (or) Bachelor Degree with a minimum of thirty (30) credit hours in ECE/CD

Description

Head Start for Kent County is seeking a Human Resource Generalist with an emphasis in Benefits Administration. Qualified candidates will have an Associate degree required (Bachelor degree preferred) in Business Administration or related field with a Human Resources focus. Three to five years directly related work experience required in Benefits Administration including benefit tracking/enrollment; TPA COBRA administration; annual employee benefit statements; workers’ compensation; post offer letter physical exams, TB and drug testing; random drug testing; FMLA; as well as experience running retention and absence reports.

Compliance Monitor

Description

Head Start for Kent County is hiring two Compliance Monitors to conduct on-site monitoring to ensure compliance with Head Start for Kent County operational procedures, processes and policies related to Head Start performance standards, rules and regulations, State of Michigan Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers and other federal and state regulatory agencies as appropriate. Provides consistent level of support services and technical assistance and serves as a resources to all HS4KC staff in the area of compliance. Makes recommendations for revisions or implementation of processes, reports and or plans of actions.
