Site Supervisor @ South Godwin

Description

Position Overview:

Directs the day-to-day operation, administration, and maintenance of the child development program and the facility. Manages and develops center staff to operate a safe and efficient center including being available to address parent, child, and staff issues.

Location:

South Godwin (28 Bellevue St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49548)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or Childhood Development, or related field; Masters preferred

Starting Pay:

$25.00 – $26.00 per hour

Hours:

  • 7:30am-5:00pm and Friday 7:30am-11:30am
  • Hours may vary based on need, site events, etc

Preschool Lead Teacher

Description

Position Overview:

Head Start for Kent County is hiring Preschool Lead Teachers to ensure a safe environment for children ages 3-5 in accordance with performance standards by meeting the physical, social, intellectual, emotional and cultural needs of each enrolled child in partnership with parents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree with stated major in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (or) a valid MI teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA) endorsement (or) Early Childhood General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement (or) Bachelor Degree with a minimum of thirty (30) credit hours in ECE/CD

Starting Pay:

$21.47 per hour

Staff Hours:

  • Two options available:
    • Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm and Friday 7:30am-11:30am
    • Monday-Thursday 7:45am-4:45pm and Friday 7:30am-11:30am

Preschool Teacher Assistant

Description

Position Overview:

Head Start for Kent County is seeking Preschool Teacher Assistants to ensure a safe environment for children in accordance with performance standards by meeting the physical, social, intellectual, emotional and cultural needs of each enrolled child in partnership with their parents.

Locations:

Options within Kent County to be discussed at Interview

Requirements:

  • Have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential;
  • Be enrolled, and provide documentation proving enrollment to the HR Manager and/or Training Specialist, in a CDA credentialing program that will be completed within two (2) years; or
  • Have an Associate or Bachelor degree (in any area) or be enrolled in a program leading to such a degree.

Starting Pay:

  • $13.00 per hour
